A 300km road trip following this long and scenic coastline proves that Uruguay worth visiting not only for the country’s quirky and exciting capital Montevideo. Simply hop to Ruta 10 and leave the wind guide you through a bunch of extra beautiful and laid-back beach towns and villages. One of the mandatory stops along the way is Punta del Este, where the rich and wealthy locals are gathering to enjoy the beauty of the nature surrounding. Wildlife: Rurrenabaque, Bolivia
Just a 30-minute flight from La Paz, or an 18-hour bus ride for the more adventurous ones, you will reach to the dusty streets of Rurrenabaque, which is your starting point for exploring some of the continent’s most impressive and astounding wildlife. From here you have two options and we would actually recommend you hopping on them both, but for a start, you have to choose one of them – trekking through the dense heat of Parque Madidi, one of South America’s most diverse and magnificent rainforests, or boating along the waters of the nearby pampas. However, no matter if you are choosing the explore the jungle or the wetlands, you can expect a jaw-dropping diversity of wildlife and species you are most probably not going to see anywhere in the world, like brightly coloured toucans, fear-triggering caimans, a roar of noisy monkeys echoing for miles and more!
Historic Landmarks: the Sacred Valley, Peru
